-Don Cudney a landscape photographer? Maybe. Sometimes. Mostly while on vacation or location scouting, but yes, I do occasionally photograph the landscape. Right place, right time…you know the cliche’. I would love to create beautiful landscape images (and insert well lit people & products into them) for clients or gallery exhibitions. -I received an email from Ben at Wonderful Machine asking me to send him a list of my “10 Dream Photo Assignments.” I tend to be a realist and instead of writing down “a cover and 10 page layout in Vanity Fair or Esquire,” I listed the publications and advertising agencies that I have yet to collaborate with in the past. (below) Email Promo created by Wonderful Machine and distributed to 1,000s of creatives worldwide. *Received a positive response from Fast Company Magazine that could will lead to future assignments.

-I collaborate with extremely talent art directors and graphic designers. Every now and then, I’ll receive sketches from them prior to a scheduled photo shoot illustrating their concept and/or composition. Below are just a couple samples. The third sketch is what I sent to Mary Lester of CIO Magazine and expected a laugh or two or three. Good thing I am a photographer and not an illustrator.  Jurgen Mantzke an ex-ColoradoBIZ Magazine art director creates sketches that I believe are cover worthy themselves. -It’s that time of year again ….. Go Broncos. I’m not a big organized sports fan, but I do enjoy a great game of professional football especially when I am watching the game or photographing the game from the sidelines. Win or lose the Denver Broncos are always exciting! Thanks to a friend and colleague , Rob Hawthorne, who photographs the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, I have had the pleasure of creating images during many games over the past 5 years. Rain, snow or sunshine I’ve always had a great time and captured some fun images. Thank you, Rob.
